About Mike Toot

The quick version:  Moved to Seattle at age four, went to the University of Washington (Go Huskies!), worked at various jobs, bought a house, and got married.  Now I write full time.

The slightly longer version:  My professional career has covered diverse territory, from actor, to lawyer, to BMW (boat maintenance worker), to Windows and network tech support, to senior program and senior product manager for desktop and middleware applications, and now to writer.  Along the way I've done a lot of intriguing and engaging things, met great people, and brought the right mix of fun and hard work to all my projects.

My interests include remodeling our 1908 home, reading, snuggling our Maine Coon cat, sailing, and playing the occasional computer or video game.  In general I don't have trouble staying busy. <g>
